Why Start a Blog?

So over the last few months I've found myself drooling over so many different blogs. I would save the link so that I could re-visit the site and try it out for myself. Well, I'm up to 21 pages full of links and ideas. Ridiculous I know. So I decided that I'm going to start a blog of my own. Here's just a few of the items on my "to make" or "wow" list:

You have to check this quiet book out by going here. Jill at Homeade by Jill made this. She puts so much detail into the things she creates. There are so many great ideas and tutorials on her blog. Like this felt playhouse for example.

Wow! Completely amazing. Go check it out here. So many details and it's huge. The girls would love this...actually I would love this.

Dana at Made is another person that I'm amazed by. She has some really great tutorials.

Like the tutorial for this little dress. She made it from a men's shirt.

Or these cool candy bags that I'm thinking about making to hold my make-up.

Disney at Ruffles and Stuff has a great idea. Make a short sleeved shirt into a long sleeved shirt by adding some pajama pants that are too small. So clever. Go here for more details and to see how she's made other "too small" items work.

Now do you see why I'm having such a hard time focussing? These are only a few things that are neat. I'm hoping to have time tomorrow on my "day off" to be able to craft and sew a bit...assuming I can get the house cleaned, laundry done, Relief Society lesson planned, work out...plus watch some High School Basketball. Phew!! What a weekend ahead.

A Little About Me!

Hi! My name is Kristin and I'm addicted to sewing, crafting, trying to be thrifty and anything and everything in between. I feel so much better now that I've gotten that out. (Don't judge me...I'm betting you might be a little addicted too!)

Most importantly, I'm the wife to one good looking hunk, Kevin and a momma to 2 crazy girls, Joselyn and Macey. I love Jesus Christ, my familiy, the color pink and of course chocolate. I love blogging. I'm constantly stunned at the amount of creativity and talent that so many of you have. I love to read about all of your ideas and the things you're working on. I love the feeling of satisfaction I get when I've made something that I'm proud of or when my husband says, "Wow! I'm really impressed!" I hope to someday have a blog full of amazing "homemade stuff".
